Artsystems’ objective is to provide and support the most efficient and powerful software tools for fine art management. Through its software and services, Artsystems strives to improve its customers’ productivity dramatically and help them analyze and utilize their information to best achieve their goals.
Founded in 1989, Artsystems originally created custom data management software solutions for art institutions and galleries and was instrumental in cataloguing the estate of and catalogue raisonné for Andy Warhol.
Since then, Artsystems has released five iterations of what quickly had become an industry standard art business management database for the world’s leading art galleries, private collections, artists, artist estates, and private art advisors.
Artsystems also provides to its thousands of customers on six continents integrated websites and an integrated iPad/iPhone app.
In 2019, Artsystems released its new online web-based database software platform, Artsystems5, which includes a newly designed interface and many new powerful and exclusive features.
In 2022, Artsystems merged with Gallery Systems, the world’s leading provider of collection management software and web publishing solutions for museums.
For 33 years, Artsystems has relied on a continuous collaboration with many of the world’s most renowned and successful art businesses, collections, artists, and artist estates, to develop, enhance, and continually refine its products and services.
Artsystems’ staff of 15 industry veterans are experts in Artsystems offerings and among them have over four centuries of art management experience.
Artsystems, Inc. is led by David Studstill, Founder and Chief Software Architect, and Doug Milford, former East Village, Venice (CA), and SoHo gallerist, Publisher of Artnet.com, and Co-Founder of Artnet Magazine.
