Web Manager New Features and Options

The new Web Manager Web Site adds many new exciting features, including greatly enhanced work detail and image display, increased control over content, significantly improved site performance and, most importantly, measurably better search engine results (we "Google" even better now). These new features are all added to our standard Web site template:

New Web Manager v2.5 User-Administered Features

  1. Manage search table fields (edit Types, Categories, Media online)
  2. Upload, link to, and delete multiple file types such as PDFs, misc. images, videos, etc.
  3. Delete or hide (as Artist or Exhibition Works) individual works using 'Works Manager'
  4. 'Clear Sort' button in Works Manager to facilitate order of works display
  5. Display 'Price on Request' for individual works
  6. Several 'nips and tucks' to correct known issues

New Web Manager v2.5 Display Features
  1. 'View all' link on thumbnail view shows all results on one page
  2. Group exhibition listings by year (with ability to designate year for exhibitions with overlapping years [2007-2008])
  3. Display Exhibitions' featured images on Exhibitions page via rollover (as with Artists page)
  4. Margin around image in 'Enlarge' window
  5. Artist 'Bio' link on Detail Page
  6. Display 'Artist Page works' or 'all works' (including hidden) in Works Manager admin view
  7. Main Artist Page featured image no longer displays between rolling over other images
  8. Refreshed Admin interface design is self-explanatory and easier to use
Web Manager v2 New features
  1. Ability to attach an image to the News Page
  2. Ability to attach an image to the Info Page
  3. Ability to attach an image to each Artist Bio page
  4. If a work has no image attached, 'no image' or other wording appears on a placeholder image
  5. An 'Image-sizer' utility allows for automatic creation of thumbnails from a single Web detail image, and also allows for site-specific designation of image display sizes.
  6. Option to include multiple images of different sizes for each work
  7. Per-site option to display the word 'SOLD' along with sold works when site is updated to reflect sold status.
  8. Artist name is displayed first on title bar of Artist Bio page, Artist page, and artwork Detail pages for higher placement on Web search results.
  9. If no artist bio is attached to a DataKit, no link to the Artist Bio page will display on the individual Artist page.
  10. Additional 'back' arrow displays at the top of thumbnail and work Detail pages
  11. 'Page number' of 'total pages' displays for Search results, Exhibition, and Artist page.
  12. Ability to edit order of works (custom sort) displayed from Artist links.
  13. Artist names on work Detail page 'hot-linked' to display artist's Bio page when clicked
  14. 'Show all works' link on Artist Bio page displays all Web inventory for that artist in thumbnail (results) page
  15. Per-site option to a turn price display on or off
  16. Per-site option to not display work price if work is sold
  17. Per-site option to display Work Infosheet details with work Detail page
  18. Ability to add unlinked list of additional artists to Artists page
  19. Ability to add a list of additional exhibitions to Exhibition page — unlinked or linked to an outside Web page
  20. Ability to display works in Exhibitions but not in general inventory
  21. Extra large image detail now standard.
  22. Improved automatic backup
  23. Option to add Visitor email contact form to site
  24. 'Timed-out' visits revert to home page
  25. Ability to define Exhibition page headers
  26. 'Print View' page links from Detail page to format a page for standard printer
  27. Individual artist's feature image displays on Artists page with cursor 'rollover' on artist's name

Coming soon will be a Private Room option, which will enable you to create discreet and private displays of works from GalleryPro on your site, to which you can individually invite clients or colleagues via email and passwords, for an additional cost.
