Windows^® minimum: 266 MHz Pentium^® II PC, 128 MB RAM (your choice of OS may require system upgrades beyond this bare minimum). Supported OS: Windows 2000, Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista* Ultimate, Windows Vista* Business, Windows Vista* Home Premium (stand-alone only).

Windows recommended: 1 GHz Intel^® Dual Core 2 processor or AMD equivalent, 1+ GB RAM, CD-RW. Windows XP Pro or Windows Vista* Business.

WINDOWS VERSIONS NOT SUPPORTED (may not operate): Vista Home Basic, Vista Home Premium (networks), XP Home, 95, 98, or ME. Go to the Windows Anytime Upgrade Web site for an upgrade if needed.

*For Vista, actual requirements and product functionality may vary based on your system configuration. Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor can help you determine which features and edition of Windows Vista will run on your computer.

Native Macintosh OSX versions of Artsystems software are in development and due to be released in 2008. (Skip to requirements for running current Windows version on your Mac today.)

In the meantime, you can purchase and run Artsystems GalleryPro, Studio, Collections, and Web Manager for Windows on your Mac today via Parallels Software. With Parallels, (for Intel Macs) the Artsystems application can appear in the Mac desktop dock like any Mac application, without even displaying a Windows desktop. This works very well and runs very fast. See the Apple and Parallels Web sites to see how great this is (requires a copy of Windows; we recommend Microsoft Windows XP Pro SP2 (we do not support Vista with Parallels at this time).

Other current Macintosh solutions include Bootcamp, Virtual PC 7 (for PowerPC Macs — not very fast), or linking a Windows XP Pro computer to your Mac via free Remote Desktop (works well but takes some configuring: fast refurbished PCs with XP Pro can be purchased for as little as $250), or a network with Macs and a Windows-based server via Terminal Services or Citrix. See below for system requirements for each solution.

Nearly half of our new customers have implemented one of these 'Windows on Mac' solutions already. With an Intel Mac, there is no reason to wait for our native Mac applications to get started with Artsystems. Regardless, please let us know if you would like to be alerted upon release of the native Macintosh OSX versions by submitting our Information Request Form.

Parallels Desktop for Mac is currently available online (you will need your own copy of Windows). Virtual PC 7 (make sure you purchase with Windows) is available either separately or as a part of Microsoft Office Pro and runs on OSX. Launch Parallels or Virtual PC on your Mac as any other Mac software, and your Artsystems program can be already open to the record where you left off. Either way, we will assist new Artsystems Software customers with their original installation and configuration (via telelphone) of either product. When our Mac version is released, you will only need pay the difference in price, and we will convert your date for free.

For large Mac networks and/or mixed Mac/Windows networks, including worldwide access to your Artsystems database, you may want to consider Windows Terminal Services or Citrix with Windows server software (on a Windows server or on an Intel Mac) on the network. • Via Virtual PC 7.0: G3, G4 or G5 processor (no Intel), 700 MHz G3, 512MB RAM.
• For upcoming Mac native version: 333 MHz G3+, 256 MB RAM; Mac OSX 'Panther' (v10.3).

Macintosh recommended: Microsoft Windows XP Pro SP2 (Vista not recommended). See Windows requirements above and Macintosh options below.

• For upcoming Mac native version: 733 MHz+ G4, G5, Intel Macs, 512 MB RAM+, Mac OSX 'Panther' (v10.3+), 'Tiger' (v10.4+), or 'Leopard' (v10.5+).

Artsystems Web Manager

Artsystems GalleryPro or Studio software, active GalleryPro or Studio Software Maintenance subscription, and broadband (DSL, Cable, or fractional T1) connection are required.

Users must not have Norton Antivirus software installed, as Norton will not allow scripts to run that are necessary for the operation of this product. See details here. Artsystems recommends McAfee products instead. Artsystems will not be responsible for resolution of errors caused by conflicts with installed Norton software.
