The Inventory Number can be automatically generated based on your own pre-determined codes set in Administrative Options.

The color in the Inventory Number field automatically changes to denote the works sales status: Red means the work is sold, Green means the work is available, Yellow means the work is on Loan or Consignment, Light Pink means the work is on Reserve, and Black means Inactive (otherwise unavailable).
